After an introduction to the tools and materials that we would be using, Paula showed us examples of what could be achieved using silver clay, and gave a demonstration of how the clay is used. A relatively new material, Precious Metal Clay (PMC) or silver clay as it’s also known, was originally developed in Japan.

Once shaped, let the clay dry completely. This can be done by air drying for 24-48 hours, using a dehydrator, or placing it on a warming plate. Ensure the clay kan zijn thoroughly dry before firing to avoid cracking.
